As a key player, you'll specialize in providing dynamic technical leadership for system integration, maintenance, migration, and enhancement within the realm of SCADA/EMS and ADMS. What You’ll Do
The Consultant III position in SCADA/EMS/ADMS involves a variety of tasks related to Technical Studies and Consulting Services. Your focus will be on Energy Management Systems, where you'll contribute from installation through to maintenance. Tasks will include script writing, database modeling, and thorough system testing. Collaboration with clients and vendors will be essential for troubleshooting and improving operations. You'll work closely with the team to coordinate projects efficiently, manage timelines, and uphold quality standards. Additionally, you'll have the chance to identify new business opportunities, providing solutions that contribute positively to the world.
Location of the Role: We'd love this position to be a hybrid role in our Cary, North Carolina office but we would consider exceptional remote candidates who reside on the East Coast of the USA. as long as they're open to travel as needed
We’d love you to have:
- Five (5)+ years of broad SCADA/EMS/ADMS experience, specifically IT/OT projects, ideally working on integration of replacement applications and services into legacy environments
- Bachelor’s or master’s in engineering or a related field (such as Computer Science) or, comparable professional experience and capability
- Experience executing end-to-end testing (FAT, SAT and UAT).
- Good knowledge and understanding of operational technologies and systems.
- Experience of SDLC and various testing processes and methodologies including risk assessment and management.
- Experience working with Test Tools (e.g. HPQC, Jira) for testing and defect tracking.
- Advanced user of EMS/ADMS vendor systems (e.g. GE, Siemens, ABB, Schneider, AspenTech/OSI) and applications.
- Knowledge of EMS/ADMS modeling tools, display building tools, and domains.
- Excellent computer skills, including Virtualization, Windows servers, Windows desktops, and Linux
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations.
- Registered Professional Engineering status or willingness to obtain.
Special Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to travel, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for business development and consultancy work.
- Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily required to sit or stand at a workstation while operating a computer, phone, and other office equipment. The employee is required to communicate: speak, write, type, and hear.

PSC is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $98,000 to $150,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in our profit share program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
