Manager, Control Systems
As a Manager in Control Systems, you'll be leading a team and ensuring that objectives, plans, and budgets are met. You'll be the face of the company for critical clients, acting as their account manager. You'll also have the opportunity to share your expertise by contributing to thought leadership publications, including white papers and blog posts. In addition, you'll oversee internal initiatives and coordinate the provision of complex engineering consulting advice provided by your team. Location of the Role: We'd love this position to be a hybrid role in our Westborough Mass, office but we are open to candidates in the USA. Remote options are available for the right candidate based in North America, as long as they're open to travel as needed.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing a team of engineers and consultants, providing technical and professional guidance, and ensuring that the team meets its objectives and targets. You'll also be responsible for engaging with key contributors within diverse client organizations, independently completing complex consulting projects, and coordinating the delivery of complex engineering consulting advice. Additionally, you'll be responsible for business unit management and development, including achieving revenue and sales targets, identifying and developing opportunities, and representing the company at industry forums and conferences.
We’d love you to have:
- Minimum 10 years of SCADA/EMS/ADMS experience
- Experience working with clients.
- Experience developing project schedules and project management.
- Performing or creating training programs and mentoring junior-level team members
- Strong working experience with EMS vendor systems (e.g. GE, Siemens, ABB, Schneider, OSI) and applications.
- Knowledge of ADMS/EMS modeling tools, display building tools, and domains.
- Knowledge of modern programming and scripting language
- Knowledge of SQL-based RDBMS databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Power Systems Engineering or related field or, comparable professional experience and capability.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage/exceed client expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada and the US without restrictions.
- Ability to travel, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for business development and consultancy work.
- Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily required to sit or stand at a workstation while operating a computer, phone, and other office equipment. The employee is required to communicate speak, write, type, and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

PSC is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is USD $138,000 to $200,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in our profit share program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
