General Manager, Operations Technology and Market Systems (North America)
Location: U.S. or Canada | Full-Time | Reports to COO
Lead the future of Operations Technology and Market Systems across North America with a role that offers both regional influence and global reach. As General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a well-established consulting business unit and play a critical role in expanding PSC’s presence into the European market while optimizing performance across the U.S. and Canada.
This is a high-impact leadership position, offering accountability for financial performance, team growth, delivery excellence and business development. You’ll work closely with a capable internal network—finance, legal, IT, people & culture, and global delivery peers—to set strategy, deliver results, and build a resilient business model that balances fixed-price and staff augmentation services.
Location:
While this role can be done remotely, hybrid, or in office, our primary office for the OT team is based in Cary, North Carolina. We have physical offices in Kirkland, WA, Cary, NC, Westborough, MA and Burnaby, Canada. At this time, we are not able to offer sponsorship this role.
What You’ll Lead
- Full P&L responsibility across the Operations Technology and Market Systems business unit in North America
- Strategy development and execution in alignment with PSC’s global direction
- A portfolio of consulting projects and service models, with a focus on operational efficiency and delivery consistency
- A senior technical team, while building the next generation of talent through structured development and succession planning
- Cross-functional collaboration across all internal services and alignment with global business unit leaders
- Market readiness and internal capability to support expansion into the European region
What You’ll Drive
- Operational and financial performance through active planning, forecasting, and delivery management
- Clarity of role expectations, resource planning, and process improvements across the business
- Growth in both client relationships and project diversity, in partnership with PSC’s business development function
- A culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high-quality service delivery
- Sustainable team dynamics, knowledge transfer, and long-term workforce planning
What You Bring
- 10 to 15+ years in an engineering, technical, energy, or consulting environment
- 7 to 10+ years leading technical teams in the energy industry, ideally within consultancy, utility, or owner’s engineer contexts
- A history of success with full P&L ownership—driving outcomes across revenue, cost management, forecasting, and margin improvement
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive strategy, and evolve service delivery
- Strong commercial acumen and executive presence, with a structured and strategic approach to business growth
- A leadership style that emphasizes trust, accountability, and performance—clear communicator, decisive operator, and committed coach
- Ability to bring clarity in complexity, build alignment across teams, and lead through both stability and change

PSC is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current range by country is as follows:
$210,000 CAD to $285,000 CAD
$215,000 USD to $290,000 USD
You may also be eligible to participate in our profit share program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, 10 scheduled paid holidays, and 10 days of sick leave. Additionally, regular full-time employees accrue up to 15 days of paid vacation.
