What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on power systems.
- 2+ years of experience in power systems engineering and an understanding of power networks, including generation and transmission planning.
- Experience with network simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerWorld, DigSILENT, PSLF would be an asset).
- A passion for solving complex technical problems
- A desire to work collaboratively in a global team, delivering high-quality solutions to clients.
- Eagerness for autonomy, ownership, and opportunities to lead in a supportive, innovative environment.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge (useful but not essential):
- Knowledge of control systems, signals, and control theory.
- A background or interest in power electronics.
Your Responsibilities will Include:
- Performing power system analysis and network modeling to meet client specifications in reliability, regulation, and quality requirements.
- Conducting studies in areas such as generation interconnection, voltage stability, arc-flash energy, insulation coordination, and power station design.
- Preparing detailed technical reports and contributing to technical work products.
- Collaborating with a global team to execute studies and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Managing client relationships and expectations, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Contributing to business development activities and identifying new client opportunities.

PSC is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$90,500-126,698 USD
