What we’re looking for
PSC is looking for a dynamic accounting professional to join the global finance team. This position will be based in the West Coast of the USA or New Zealand

In this role you will be an integral member of the Global Finance team responsible for a variety of core deliverables and have the opportunity to utilize your Systems & ERP knowledge to implement. As part of a small but global finance team, you’ll be equally comfortable posting a journal, updating a spreadsheet, mentoring a junior team member, or advising how to improve processes or implement new technologies. We are a collaborative team working across different time zones, each with our own responsibilities, and also common finance deliverables.
Essential Responsibilities
• Responsible for month-end and year-end activities including assisting with statutory financial statement preparation in multiple jurisdictions.
• Responsible for oversight of AP and AR, fixed assets register, various taxes, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure that financial reporting is accurate, timely and in compliance with company policies, and applicable tax reporting requirements.
• Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
• Supporting responsibility for global compliance and registrations.
• Manage financial and non-financial metrics and ensure key metrics are within the target range.
• Assist independent Accounting Firms with audits by responding to queries and providing
information.
• Provide information for tax preparation, liaising with external tax advisors.
Working Relationships
CFO, Finance Team, Leadership/Steering Team members, global General Managers and Business Unit leaders.
External Relationships:
Auditors, tax advisors and governmental reporting contacts in various countries.
Required Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• Minimum of 7 years professional work experience with increasing level of responsibility, preferably in a consulting or job-costing environment, technology or professional services industry
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, to include intermediate level Excel
• Experience with complex consolidations
- Experience working in a multi-currency environment with foreign exchange experience
• Experience with NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro or equivalent ERP systems
• Legally authorized to work in USA or New Zealand without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with external audit and tax providers
• The ideal candidate’s experience includes a variety of finance and accounting roles with progressive levels of responsibility: `
• Demonstrated deep analytical skills, with the ability to identify the root of business
performance issues
• Demonstrated project management experience, with strong multi-tasking abilities
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP knowledge a plus
• Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and change
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
• Strong leadership with a dedication to driving and achieving results
• Self-managing, independent problem solver, high attention to detail
• Strong and proactive interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills, with strict
adherence to confidentiality in all aspects of this role
• Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management and be able to critically evaluate
and concisely communicate business issues/risks, leading to influence and impact
• Vigilant perspective to improve existing process, structure, strategy to ensure company’s ability to grow

What We offer
At PSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $133,394 USD to $200,091 USD
You may also be eligible to participate in our profit share program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. We will reimburse a portion of your course fees, up to a maximum of $5,000.00 a year. We have offices in the US and Canada and we have been working in a distributed fashion for years. We are open to hybrid and remote work, or we can offer you a place in one of our offices if you prefer.
