What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a Senior Consultant / Key Account Lead to take ownership of PSC’s relationship with one of our most strategic clients. This role blends technical depth with commercial leadership — acting as both a client-facing consultant and a key account manager. The successful candidate will understand the technical, operational, and regulatory context of system operators, while also driving growth through proactive engagement, opportunity development, and delivery excellence. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for this as well as future potential Clients, coordinating across PSC’s technical teams, ensuring delivery alignment, and identifying opportunities to expand our value and footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Account Leadership & Growth
- Own the overall PSC–Client relationship — serving as the single point of accountability for client satisfaction, performance, and growth.
- Develop and execute a client account plan focused on relationship expansion, pipeline development, and alignment to the client’s strategic priorities.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new opportunities across the clients programs, leveraging PSC’s cross-functional capabilities (HVDC, Advisory, Power Networks, OT, etc.).
- Proactively manage account reviews, QBRs, and stakeholder engagement at multiple levels (technical through executive).
- Monitor client sentiment, competitor activity, and market signals to inform PSC strategy.
Technical & Delivery Leadership
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to the Client's stakeholders — capable of understanding, framing, and solving system studies, modelling, or operational challenges.
- Oversee delivery quality and ensure technical teams have clarity on scope, outcomes, and client expectations.
- Support bid development and proposal reviews, ensuring technical solutions are commercially viable and aligned with client needs.
- Translate complex engineering topics into clear business value and outcomes.
Commercial & Business Development
- Lead or support the full sales cycle for Client-related opportunities, including bid/no-bid decisions, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
- Apply structured key account management principles to drive measurable revenue growth.
- Collaborate with BD and marketing to position PSC in this Client, and wider U.S. system operator community.
- Ensure all opportunities, contacts, and activities are accurately maintained in HubSpot CRM.
Internal Leadership & Collaboration
- Work cross-regionally with PSC teams in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific to leverage global expertise and best practices.
- Champion the doer-seller model — helping technical staff engage with clients and identify growth opportunities.
- Provide feedback to service lines on emerging client needs and support capability development aligned to market trends.
- Mentor junior consultants in technical and client-facing skill development.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum (10) Ten years in power systems, grid studies, or system operations within utilities, ISOs, or consultancy.
- Deep understanding of transmission system planning, interconnection studies, and dynamic modelling.
- Familiarity with regulatory, operational, and compliance frameworks in PJM or similar markets.
- Experience managing large client accounts or strategic projects ($500k–$5M).
- Strong understanding of sales pipelines, proposals, pricing, and profitability drivers.
- Ability to shape and articulate value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build trust at senior levels.
- Gravitas and confidence to represent PSC as a strategic partner.
- Highly organized, with the ability to balance technical work and commercial priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with proven ability to influence across teams and functions.
