What You’ll Do
As an Engineer [Consultant II], you’ll deliver high-quality consultancy services under the guidance of senior consultants, specialising in dynamic power system studies for power networks projects. You’ll work on both short-term and long-term assignments, supporting clients in power generation and transmission planning, reliability, feasibility studies, and network modelling.
Technical Expertise
- Perform power system analysis and modelling, including load flow, transient stability, short circuit, and small signal assessments.
- Conduct generator connection studies, voltage stability, arc-flash energy, insulation coordination, feasibility studies, and network planning.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and collaborate with global team members.
- Utilise industry-standard software (PSS/E, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
Consulting Services
- Liaise with clients and team leaders to manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects meet the highest quality standards within budget and timeline.
- Contribute to project documentation, case studies, and proposals.
- Identify new business opportunities and communicate client needs to management.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum two years of experience in Power Systems engineering, and developed knowledge of industry regulations. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering (preferably with a power systems focus). Skilled in power network analysis and simulation tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory, with strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building abilities. Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia and be willing to travel as required.
